Lovely stay, beautiful surroundings - so peaceful. The shepherds hut was really cosy and warm when we arrived. We were also lucky and the weather allowed us to sit outside overlooking the cows and ducks which was lovely.

Amazing spot! Nice and private, with a great view and friendly cows in the field next door, not to mention the addition of ducks, pheasants and pigeons making an appearance. Lovely local walks and the pub round the corner served great food.

Beautiful place, surrounded by meadows. Plenty of nice walks. The accommodation very cosy and warm. We were advised to try out the local restaurant and we are glad we did. All in all , excellent weekend!

We had an amazing stay at Louella’s Shepherds Hut. We had everything we needed in there, and Louella was completely on hand and quick to respond with any questions we had. The space is beautiful and feels very roomy for what it is, and the view from the window of the rolling hills and the nearby sheep were perfect for the getaway feeling!

My husband and I along with our dog very much enjoyed our one night stay in the shepherd’s hut. It always amazes me how much fits into such a small space. A nice big comfortable bed. Lovely soft and fluffy bedding. Kitchen area was good. No sharp knife to cut our cheese with but understandable if there’s only a microwave. The good size shower and powerful pressure. Despite my husband’s fire making skills, he couldn’t get the log fire going but that certainly didn’t spoil our stay. Lastly, the scenery was beautiful even though it rained the whole time! Lots of grass area for dogs. We arranged a late check-out which was ideally. Definitely recommend for a romantic stay!
