Stay for work or relaxation in this unique and charming studio filled with custom furniture and cozy amenities. Property backs up to the Florida River and has a view of the local historic Rio Grande Railroad bridge used in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The studio has Starlink internet, the coziest bed ever, cute kitchenette and heated floor bathroom. Plus a wood pellet fireplace! Just 18 min drive to downtown Durango and 8 minutes to the closest coffee shop! The studio is a totally self contained little getaway located on a 7 acre parcel that is shared with a Strawbale home right next door and a ranch house (where your hosts live) just across the way. The studio has its own private parking area and front yard with garden beds and is separated from the strawbale home's backyard with a fence. The studio has a queen sized bed with under bed clothes storage, a small closet in a vintage armoire, a small but cute bathroom with heated tile floors and stand up shower. The kitchenette includes a vintage fridge and pull out countertop convection toaster oven as well as pantry storage and big vintage sink. Drip coffee machine and small espresso maker. There is a mini split for cooling and heating, although most of the heating is done with the wood pellet fireplace

This little farmhouse was the perfect respite after a long drive. We enjoyed it so much we, drove to the closest grocery store and had dinner in sitting by the fire. It was just what we needed. In the morning we took a nice walk down the country road with our coffee and tea before heading back out on our drive. Thank you so much for this lovely experience!

The tiny house was magical! We felt right at home there and the rest of the property is lovely too! There is a nice path along the Florida River nearby and we even saw a Blue Heron! Cooking in the unit was really easy and the bed nook is amazing. Highly recommend and well worth the drive out of town.

We are in a rural area with smaller properties in a large subdivision of 5-7 acre properties. There is a river running along the back of the property and there is a community swimming pond just down the road.
You can see a historic railroad bridge from the property although not from the studio itself. The view from the studio kitchen is of an 1800s shed that houses our mini goat, the chicken house and a pasture. The immediate view out the front of the studio is of the front yard garden area with some ranch structures behind it. The view out the bedroom area is of a pasture and hay shed. The pasture will occasionally have two horses turned out in it.

It’s a nice quiet neighborhood for taking a walk and there is a walking trail system that you can access right down the road by the historic bridge.
