What a lovely, peaceful location. We enjoyed the wood stove morning and night and didn’t even turn on the heat. Found some great restaurants in the area - The Osprey, Harborside, Reds, Sprague Lobster! We’ll be back.

The setting was absolutely beautiful! It was very unfortunate that the home was musty smelling, dirty furniture, floors, spider webs. It needs a thorough cleaning and new furniture, including the beds. We Airbnb all the time and this home needs serious repairs

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! A week before we arrived we saw a recent review about a cat smell and dust and we were worried we were in for a bad stay. Luckily, it was the opposite! The house was clean and lovely and we could detect no cat smell whatsoever. There was the slightly musty smell most cabins by the water have if shut up for a period of time, but after an hour of open windows and the amazing sea breeze all was good. Don't let that one bad review cause you to miss out on this slice of heaven. Now on to telling you what we loved! We loved the views. Oh my gosh the views! From every window. Reading at the window bed, looking up from doing a puzzle, the view of the water and all its wildlife is gorgeous. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked. We caught crabs off the pier every day. Quiet & serene. The place is magical and we look forward to going back. Don't miss eating the The Osprey (get resy) and near by Eros Oyster for tour or direct oyster buying. Thank You!

Unfortunately our stay was not as peaceful as we had hoped for. Upon arrival we notice the house had an offensive odor reminiscent of an airless, wet basement combined with the scent of urine in the master bedroom. The house as also dusty and the floors were dirty. This combination really revved up my children's allergies and we had to utilize the outdoor space to avoid non-stop sneezing & nose blowing. By the second night when I was awakened by my son's sneezes at 4 am, requiring yet another dose of Benadryl I realized what the culprit of these attacks was...a cat! At some point a cat lived on this premises as this type of strong allergic reaction is only caused by cat dander. The home also smelled of cat urine, had scratched up arm chairs and cat paraphernalia to support this claim. For this inconvenience we were offered a refund for one night by VACASA which was never fulfilled. What good are beautiful views if the internal space is so offensive your only thought is to leave.
