Our stay was amazing, my husband and I had a great time. The cabin is beautiful and so cozy. We enjoyed having our coffee in the morning, as we sat out and enjoyed the view of the pond. It was very peaceful and quiet, a great weekend getaway. Destie and George, are great host and very accommodating and attentive to their guest. Wished we had more time, hope to come back soon!
My stay was an adventure -- a snowstorm with a wintry mix took down the power lines, and it was a bit hard the last day and a half of my stay. None of it avoidable, or in any way the fault of my host. Destie came during the day it snowed with his son and his snowplow, and cleared the drive and shoveled off the steps. Then they came the following day to make sure I was okay in the cabin without power. Fortunately, there is a gas stove, and I was able to heat food and drink copious cups of tea! I kept thinking how lucky it was that I was in a cozy cabin, and not in a tent in the snow! The cabin is so well built, it really held the heat for quite a while. Living in New York City, I really appreciated being woken by a flock of turkeys and the honking of the Canada geese on the pond, and not being kept awake by sirens, street traffic and noisy late-nighters! I will definitely book another stay, and I've already recommended it to my friends and family.
We had the greatest trip here and we are for sure coming back!! It was the perfect getaway on a quiet lake with the best space to sit and soak in we are just so impressed and blown away by this experience, I even have family members wanting to book as well because of the pictures we came home to share! 10/10!!!
Our stay was amazing! Such a cute and cozy house, exactly how it was pictured and described. Destie was an incredible host and was amazingly responsive and helpful during our stay. Highly recommend!

My partner and I are a couple of transplants to the Maine coast, and while we hate to leave our own beautiful community, we love to explore other people's beautiful communities! Our interests include growing, cooking, and eating great food; wooden boats; walking downtown for coffee; historic architecture; enjoying our work, which includes being a stay-at-home dad to a fun 6-year-old and being a social justice non-profit manager; and walking for long hours in new places, stopping frequently to eat ice cream and watch the world go by.
