Wir wurden super freundlich erst von Thomas und dann von Ingrid begrüßt. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen (den Thomas uns vermittelt hatte) um uns auf der Insel zu bewegen. Bis zum Grand Anse bzw. St. George ist es ca. 1 Stunde fahrt mit dem Auto. Toll fanden wir den Garten, in dem je nach Saison Früchte (Mangos, Kokosnuss, Orangen) gepflückt werden können. Wir haben zweimal bei Ingrid zu Abend gegessen und können vorallem den Hummer sehr empfehlen. Die Unterkunft liegt in der Natur und nachts ist man umgeben von Naturgeräuschen oder den aufs Dach fallenden Regen. Zur Zeit wird der Garten um einen Pool erweitert und das Restaurant ausgebaut.

Our 2 nights at Big Sky Lodge were wonderful! The room was spacious and very clean. Ingrid was a lovely host and allowed us to eat from the many fruit trees in her garden (starfruit, papaya, grapefruit, lemons, limes). The bed was comfortable, and the fan made the room comfortable even without air conditioning. The room had 3 arrangements of fresh flowers (2 in the bedroom and 1 in the bathroom). Very thoughtful! We enjoyed the chairs on the porch and were treated to amazing stargazing. We chose to have dinner with Ingrid both nights, and we were thrilled with that choice! The first night was a lovely coconut curry fish dish full of flavor, and the second night was a whole lobster with local vegetables. Both were incredible! Unfortunately, the hot water in our shower wasn't working. Thomas did apologize and say that he had bought a replacement. When we walked to our room with Thomas to try to figure out the hot water situation, my husband tripped on my suitcase and broke a window pane during his fall. Thomas was very generous to not charge us for the window pane. We loved having access to space in the kitchen and refrigerator to make our own breakfasts and to freeze our ice packs for picnics. We enjoyed getting to know the other guests who were there and felt that this stay was a wonderful Grenadian experience. Many thanks Ingrid and Thomas! We would love to stay with you again.

If you're looking to relax and enjoy God's natural surroundings, you can not beat this location. The surrounding plant life and fruit trees make you feel like you're back in the Garden of Eden. Ingrid is a great cook and prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners. Most fruits and vegetable were grown on the property. Can't get much fresher than that. If you are looking for cooler climate, this is your place. Occasional rain squalls and windward side location kept this place very comfortable. Highly recommend if you're not looking to be at the beach 24/7, (local beach within walking distance nearby) in which case you will probably get burnt to crisp.

if you are looking for a peaceful getaway, off of the beaten path, this is the place. the rooms are bright, clean, and airy, the beds are comfortable, the view is lovely. you will be treated to beautiful sunrises, fruit galore, and the soothing sounds of crickets and frogs at night...and the sound of rain on the roof. you can cook for yourself or eat out, but really, there is no need as ingrid can prepare you delicious meals which you can enjoy in the detached dining/kitchen area...and then retire to your room for the evening. i would definitely return.
