It looked great on the listing and then far exceeded our expectations - including continental breakfast with freshly-made bread & pastries! Peaceful & private with an amazing view in the valley, but also a lovely bustling pub with great food and super friendly service. Would definitely recommend staying here, and can’t wait to return. Thank you Jeff, Tom & Josh for a great couple of days!

We’re so pleased we found this. Although the accommodation is at the back of a very quaint, small country pub, it was extremely quiet and private. The views across the fields and south downs were were outstanding. The place has everything you needed while visiting the area. Tea, coffee, juice, bottled water and milk were plentiful and a fresh loaf of bread and croissants were provided daily for breakfast. The place was spotless clean, quality linens and a very comfy bed. We ate lunch at the pub restaurant and it was delish!

We had an excellent four-night stay at Byworth. Jeff and all his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, and the food and welcome at the Black Horse Pub on the doorstep were an enormous contribution to a most enjoyable stay, helped by the temperatures of this "Indian Summer" weather! Lovely views out over the countryside and pleasant walks nearby.

This was my second time staying at the Black Horse cottage and it could not be in a prettier location. It was spotlessly clean and the pub has great food on the weekend. Nathan took care of all my needs and brought delightful baked goods to my kitchenette every evening. I look forward to returning again.

Very enjoyable stay, Jeff and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was very pleasant and in a lovely location, very clean and tidy on arrival. The addition of an extra mirror (there is one in the bathroom) in the sleeping/living area would have been useful for my wife when using the hairdryer/straightners. Adding yogurt and/or fresh fruit to the continental breakfast would elevate my 'good' score, to 'excellent', for value for money. Overall, would recommend The Black Horse Inn!
