This was the perfect place to stay! I made an error in the dates of my reservation, and they kindly accommodated me with just hours notice. The rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious. I could see the river from my room. There was off street parking, and I was close to historic Chestertown. My hosts were very welcoming and even had chocolate and wine with me. I made I will definitely be back.

A friend and I just spent the weekend at Sarah and Andrew's and had a wonderful time. It is as described, perfectly located, just a five minute walk into the center of town, but peaceful and quiet, tucked away with just the right amount of privacy. The space is lovely - two big bedrooms, ample bathroom and comfortable sitting area. Beautiful light and views, particularly from the front bedroom (queen) which looks out to the water. Sarah and Andrew were perfect hosts: responsive, helpful and friendly and also quiet in their downstairs space. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with cups and glasses, tea, coffee and snacks. The fridge was useful and it was nice to have access to coffee and tea. The cats were sweet and not a bother at all. Chestertown is a beautiful, historic town with lots of shops and restaurants and pretty streets for wandering. We will definitely go back. Thank you, Sarah and Andrew, for creating such a lovely spot.

Walk to town. Quick drive to Washington College. Super friendly hosts. Beautiful & clean home. Bright rooms, some with a nice view of the river. Highly recommend unless you are allergic to cats.

The House on the Hill is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. Sarah and Andrew are extremely friendly and welcoming. They provided everything from snacks and coffee creamer to extra toiletries. The location is private yet in walking distance to downtown Chestertown.
