my wife and I had a great stay, we were welcomed very friendly and had some nice conversations with the host. there was also place for parking our tuktuk safely behind the gate. totally recommend this place. also if you want to stay longer the kitchen is well equipped

We thourghly enjoyed our stay at Old Chili House and would 100% recommend it for an authentic Sri Lankan experience. Krishantha and his family were incredibly welcoming, his wife regularly made us delicious breakfasts and dinners from scratch which were incredibly tasty and some of our favourite meals whilst in unawatuna. The apartment itself is gorgeous and in a very good location, walking distance (20 minutes) from lovely beaches or a 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride away. All in all, a lovely visit. We will be back!

You come as a guest and leave as a friend...... we had a wonderful stay! Kris is a great Host and will take care (if you want) of almost everything: transportation, reservations, tours and food. You feel right away heartly welcome. One of our highlights was his wife’s curry which she prepared especially for us. Their cookschool project will be a success. We are certain that everybody will feel comfortable due to their overwhelming friendliness. Definitely a Recommendation We come back!!! All the best to Kris and his family

I’m not sure where to start.. Staying at Devika&Kris’ beautiful house has definitely made our spontaneous trip to Sri Lanka unforgettable. The accommodation that they provided was an absolute bomb. Everything was sparkling clean, kitchen was fully-equipped (with the kitchenware that we wouldn’t even expect). The bed was really comfortable - huge plus. Thanks to their impressive hospitality we have experienced traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, which was delicious. As I mentioned above - our trip turned out to be full of adventures thanks to Kris and his commitment. He helped us organize trip to Udawalawe National Park, where we could admire Sri Lankan wildlife, as well as to the turtle heritage. Staying in Old Chilly House is simply the best thing you can do whenever you’re visiting South Sri Lanka. Super Host badge well deserved!
