The Viking village is a beautiful retreat that is out in the woods. the attention to detail was really special and the atmosphere was really fun. The room was super comfortable, though I prefer blankets over heated spaces and found myself wishing I had a comforter or another warm snuggly blanket. In truth, they may have had extras in the office. I just opted to turn up the heat.

A perfect get away!

Great place! A surprising place for sure and it even lends to a spirit of adventure. You drive a little ways through the woods and then the place just pops up behind what looks like a fortified gate. The cabin was immaculate and included everything I needed. All is new and of good quality. The layout is well thought out and the grounds are well maintained. The chairs in front of your cabin are a good spot to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoors. There is a stream that runs through the property that can be heard from your cabin's deck which further add to the tranquility of the place. I was in the area on business, but the cabin comfortably sleeps four so I may return with the family. You will want to plan for food. Not a problem as there is a great country store in the town of Guilford (closes at 6pm). As for wildlife, I bumped into a moose on the drive out.

Such a wonderful cabin! Highly recommend staying here if you get a chance. Exceeded my expectations overall. Every detail was considered, and it was such a fun/unique place to stay.
