This was the first time I had ever snorkelled and I am so glad I did. When I first booked this place, I didn't realize the beach front actually leads into a barrier reef. All of the pretty, crazy, colorful fish are swimming all around you and you never realize it until you put that mask on. I absolutely loved it! Everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. They gave us so many great tips about the island and some beautiful places to check out. Julia referred us to some wonderful locals for pretty much anything we could need. We had some trouble with the reservations we made through a different travel website, and Julia's people were there to help us out every step of the way. I can't thank Julia enough for all of her help and great connections that made our trip so much more relaxing.

Very comfortable place, peaceful, right on a beach, and with superb host Julia. Need good car, preferably 4-wheels.

We spent a week in the middle of June at this beautiful beachfront house and had a blast time. Julia and Matthew surrounded us with care. We felt like we knew them for a long time and just came to visit old friends. Their own house is very close and they can help with anything you need very fast. Julia was very kind and showed us amazing private beaches and the local village and brought mangos from their trees. They both are great hosts. The house itself is very clean with a big, open porch where we spent many evenings watching the sunsets. It was our first visit to Roatan and we were really glad that spent half of it in a busy West Bay and the second part in the East part of the island. Eastside is less touristic, more private, and wild. We loved it. And definitely will be back here.

Das kleine Haus am Meer ist ein richtiges Schmuckstück und eignet sich, dort einige Tage in Ruhe zu verbringen. Julia und ihr Mann sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Die Küche eignet sich zum kochen einfacher Gerichte, das Bad ist sauber und mit warmem Wasser ausgestattet und die Aussicht auf das Wasser ist fantastisch. Fußläufig erreichbar befindet sich eine Badestelle, von der man auch zum nahegelegenen Riff schnorcheln kann. Auf Wunsch wurden wir an der Fähre abgeholt und haben auch einen Stop beim Supermarkt eingelegt, denn der nächstgelegene ist etwas weiter entfernt. Wir hätten auch die Möglichkeit gehabt, verschiedene Ausflüge auf der Insel mit Julia zu organisieren, dafür waren wir aber leider nicht lange genug da. Wir würden aber definitiv wiederkommen!
