Staying at the Tree Cabana in Camp Bay, Honduras was an absolute delight! Nestled amidst lush greenery, the cabana offered a unique and tranquil escape. The open-air design allowed for breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle and ocean. The hosts, Tibyasa and Oscar were incredibly accommodating, providing all necessary amenities and local tips for exploring the area. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to the sunrise over the bay made for an unforgettable experience. To top it off, the hosts provide complimentary Wi-Fi, ensuring you can stay connected while still feeling miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Overall, the amenities at the Tree Cabana elevate the experience to a whole new level, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. I highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in harmony with nature.

It's a cute place but needs an upgrade, especially the stained kitchen counter and the wobbly stool on which the microwave sits. The power went out several times so we decided to check out early, did not want to get stuck without AC.

If you're looking for a quiet, rural, beautiful place to stay this is the place. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more. The cabana is truly beautiful and from the private deck you can hear the Caribbean on the north or south side of the island depending on the wind and surf. The north side beach is literally 5 min by car and the south is a 10 min walk which we did daily. The road getting up the hill is adventurous but not a problem- we did it in a tiny compact car. Truly, as Tibyassa said, you do not need AWD. We went everywhere in rain or dry in that little car. There are lots of basics already there, salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic, and a few other things. We cooked a number of meals, the kitchen is well enough appointed. Oh yes- there is Starlink which was handy as the local cell service, Claro, was out for a few days.

Great place to stay with an excellent host! All of our planned activities were canceled for weather and Tibyasa gave us a whole lot of new ideas. We loved the peaceful setting.

Tibyasa and Oscar were both very helpful and readily available. The cabana is lovely- construction, decor, everything. The stairs to get to it are a workout, but doable. They are building a couple new buildings on the property but construction noise was minimal. Camp Bay beach is a 5 minute drive down the hill, but I wouldn’t attempt up or down without a 4x4. If you’re looking for solitude, this is just the place. If you’re planning on activities elsewhere on the island, be aware that the trip is about 1.5 hours to get to the other end and a place to park a rental car is limited and stressful due to the tight spaces and extreme slope.
