The efficiency room in our historic 1929 apartment building converted to a boutique hotel in the Delmar Loop, rated a top 10 street in America. When past presidents came to St. Louis, they made their destination the Delmar Loop for a reason. The Delmar Loop is a historic "trolley suburb", with a functioning historic trolley, adjacent to Forest Park, rated the best urban park in the USA. The top retail shops, Washington University, and the best music and entertainment venues. The London Efficiency Tea Room is in a shared environment and on the 3rd Floor of this historic 1929, 3 floor and 3 unit apartment building, in the Delmar Loop - the preeminent St. Louis neighborhood. This efficiency sized room is has a cute London theme. It is one of the 7 guest rooms in our BnB style historic apartment building converted into a boutique hotel with 24 hour keyless entry access to the house and room. Many of the historic apartments in this neighborhood include an efficiency sized bedroom, which would have historically been home to a maid--in most cases an Irish immigrant, in the 1920s. Today, the room is decorated in London style to remember the role the British played in spreading the love of tea throughout the world.

Logement partagé avec une peu trop de personnes Le sol de la salle de bain et la baignoire manquaient un peu de propreté Cependant le prix est cohérent avec le logement proposé et l’accueil est très bon (notamment avec de la nourriture à partager comme des oeufs, des sauces… et des produits de douches et de la lessive) Je recommande si vous recherchez un logement petit budget
Maybe others have, do and will enjoy their stay here more than I did; and maybe it didn't help that I checked in on my birthday (so the frustrations were exacerbated for me that night)... But way too many automated messages before you even check in (Which was then NOT easy because the check in codes and instructions were spread out over multiple, long messages.) I'd been driving all day/arriving about 10:30 and just wanted a shower and bed. But there were no towels (anywhere, and I looked everywhere) and the host never replied except at about 2 a.m.!, randomly, and not even about the towel but to dispute the cleanliness of the room - which it was not. I took plenty of pictures: thick layers of dust at the ducts and on the fan blades, kitchen a mess, bathroom very unclean (when I finally took a shower the next morning it was ankle deep and dirty water in about 3 or 4 minutes) And the room was weird: bed, instead of the desk, at the only outlet 😒 Great location, but not a "superhost": (
Pros: - Walkable distance to WashU, a lot of restaurants, stores, and activities in the Loop. - Check-in and check-out are easy and smooth. - Robert is a decent person, I enjoyed our chats and his interest in different cultures and religions. He is very hospitable. - The shared spaces (living room, kitchen, etc) are comfortable and were an added value to my experience. Cons: - The room did not appear to be 100% ready when I arrived, no towels and trash can was not empty. - The place is old, some areas require dusting and the shower curtain definitely needs changing. Not that it affected my experience, but it could be improved. I would probably book it again.

The Delmar Loop is a pedestrian oriented retail corridor built along a historic trolley line, known for its music venues, entertainment, nightlife, and the diversity and quality of its dining options. This is the only neighborhood in St. Louis where you can still see an operating historic St. Louis streetcar--St. Louis in its peak was famous for its streetcar line. The Delmar Loop includes the Pageant concert venue, the top music venue in the region. Other major attractions include the Pin Up Bowl (an intimate 8-lane bowling alley often frequented by the famous musicians who play at the Pageant), Blueberry Hill (once a music venue for the famous rock'n'roll icon Chuck Berry), and Delmar Hall (another major venue for musicians and comedians).
The Loop is located on the northwest corner of Forest Park, the cultural crown jewel of the St. Louis region (downtown is not the cultural center). Forest Park was voted top urban park in the USA this year by USA Today, and is 50% larger than Central Park in NYC. Forest Park has breathtaking landscaping and wildlife for an urban park, and contains the top cultural attractions in the region including the St. Louis Art Museum (ranked a top museum nationally), Missouri History Museum, the MUNY (the largest outdoor musical theater in the USA), the St. Louis Zoo (ranked 8th in the USA), the Science Center.
