PLACES TO EAT & DRINK
On a sunny day, Victoria Arms is a picturesque riverside pub and restaurant. Venture a little further out to Cherwell Boathouse for fine dining by the river.
The White Hart is a great local British pub and restaurant serving traditional real-ale and renowned for its pie selection, with a large, leafy beer garden. I highly recommend their steak and stilton pie.
The Up In Arms is a easygoing pub down the road with a trendy beer garden serving homemade pizzas, burgers, craft beers and vegan options.
Cowley Road is lined with a range of eclectic restaurants and bars, recommendations would include Arbequina - an intimate tapas spot (my personal favourite), Spiced Roots - Caribbean, Antep - Turkish, Mario's - Italian. Just stroll down and see what you fancy, there is plenty of choice!
Near Cowley Road you will find Chester Arms, known for their fantastic steak platter and Magdalen Arms, which do great sharing dishes including their Sunday roast.
In the Oxford city centre I would recommend Pierre Victoire in town for fabulous French cuisine, Glut for a dirty chicken burger, Sticks ' n ' Sushi for first class sushi with views from the top of the Westgate Complex. The Alchemist and Victor's are also roof top restaurants great for cocktails!
Headington is just down the road and has several nice spots to eat including Jacob & Fields - Brunch spot, Beirut - Lebanese cuisine, Heavenly Deserts - Desert parlour.
4 minute walk to the Mediterranean which do brilliant British Fish & Chips, perfect for your Friday night take away. Deliveroo, Uber Eats & JustEat service this post code.

THINGS TO DO & SEE
University Parks - Take a scenic walk to the Oxford city centre through this green oasis, owned by Merton College, purchased by the University in the 1850s. The duck pond, rainbow bridge and the rollers are worth checking out.
Central Headington is a 5 minute drive and is lined with charity shops, independent stores, pubs, cafes and more. There you will find Buryknowle Park with a great playground. Whilst in Headington, be sure to check out the famous 'Shark House' for a photo.
Headington market is on every Saturday, 9am - 2pm where you can buy local produce, food, art and more.
OXFORD CITY CENTRE
Westgate: Brand new complex consisting of 800,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, and leisure space including rooftop dining terrace with views across Oxford's iconic skyline, and a five-screen cinema.
Christ Church: Featured in the Harry Potter films.
The Ashmolean Museum: World's first university museum founded in 1683. Terrific views of the Oxford Spires from the Rooftop Restaurant.
Radcliffe Camera/Bodleian Library: One of Oxford’s most iconic sights. The main research library of the University, with over 12 million items and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe! Great views of the exterior can be obtained from St. Mary's Church.
Punting: Popular leisure activity involving hiring a boat and a pole then heading up/down the rivers of Cherwell & Isis.
Oxford Botanic Garden: Founded in 1621 as a physic garden growing plants for medicinal research, it is the oldest botanic garden in Great Britain and one of the oldest scientific gardens in the word.
Music & Events: Enjoy Evensong at Magdalen College, concerts at Holywell Music Rooms and Sheldonian Theatre.
