The cottage is in a picturesque village with lots of character and many village events such as summer fayres, scarecrow trail, annual duck race, plant sales, open gardens and an art trail. The campanologists ring the bells on Sunday mornings in the saxon Church in the village and practice on Tuesday early evening and they can be heard from the cottage. There is a babbling stream in the lane with benches to sit on and enjoy amazing views. There are plentiful paths and lanes to explore and plenty of wildlife to see.

The cottage is 9 miles away from Centre Parcs, Longleat is 12 miles away, Bath 19, Stonehenge 18 miles, Lacock 12 miles. if you prefer to travel by train we have a train station 4 miles away with good parking facilities and various routes to London and Cardiff etc. There is no parking at the cottage although you can drop off outside. There is on street parking and if not in the lane there are multiple places in the village free to park. The village is an ideal place for walking either long distance or staying local with plenty of beautiful footpaths and trails to follow.
