Adam's place was great. The location was perfect for visiting Workington, which is a walkable and very convenient town. Adam's place was directly across the street from a park and the ruins of Workington Hall, a historic site where Mary Queen of Scots stayed when she fled Scotland. The amenities in the house were very helpful.

Had a fabulous time, my kids enjoyed playing the chess game which was in the lounge.

Adam replied quickly to any questions we raised. The accommodation was very clean, cozy and spacious with all we needed for our stay, so I would definitely recommend Adams "Home away from Home" if you are staying in the western lakes.

Just got back from a great 4 night stay - what a perfect place we've found whilst visiting elderly family for Christmas nearby. I was able to cook a full Christmas dinner in the lovely, well equipped kitchen (seriously enough pots, pans and crockery to serve a banquet for the whole of the British Army) and we were all able to get round the extending table, the washer, dryer and dishwasher was very welcome. The living room was cosy and the whole house was cosy and warm. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable, we all slept really well. There is nothing I can fault, check-in was easy and Adam even accommodated our slightly earlier arrival after a long drive. Overall a cosy, clean well-equipped place, with great facilities, superior to a B&B - I would definitely recommend and will return when next in the area. We were sorry to leave!
