When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by the hosts husband and a freshly baked cake to welcome us into the property - which was a lovely personal touch. The property itself is beautifully furnished and we felt right at home, having a full fitted kitchen with all the mods and cons was a great benefit to us, as we were able to cook beautiful meals both nights we stayed. It would have been nice to have had some private space to be able to let the dogs run around but there was a big patch of grass that we were able to take them onto so it wasn’t really a problem. We’d come back in a heart beat!

We had an amazing stay!!!! We loved the Cottage, and all it had to offer. It was private and close to the town, where we could roam about! Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thank you again, Sarah and Sybil..

We really enjoyed our stay and it was a lovely gesture for the host to have baked us a cake ready for our arrival. This is the little personal touches that made the service excellent. The location is close, and only a short drive to great walks such as Buttermere and Red Pike. The standard of accommodation was also of high quality. We would definitely stay again, thanks for your hospitality!

A wonderfully cosy cottage in a great location. The property has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and is comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s a great base to explore the lakes and we loved that it was much quieter than some of the other parts. Highly recommended.

A fabulous stay in the lakes, beautiful peaceful surroundings with a lovely pub. the hosts even made us a lovely cake when we arrived, thank you.
