I can't say enough good things about Mike's place! We came up to meet family and scatter my father-in-laws ashes in Better Place Forests, and after a very long drive with toddlers from SFO, this place was perfection. The house itself has every amenity you could want, amazingly comfortable beds, a hot tub for relaxing, plenty of space--could not have been better. It is steps from the ocean, and the kids loved searching for treasures on the shore. Cove Coffee down the hill was just what we needed after early wake-ups with the kids, and Nate (the owner) was incredibly friendly, great with the kids, and gave us fantastic tips for exploring the area. Directions and info from Mike were spot on. Highly, highly recommend, we will definitely be staying here any time we come back to visit!

This is a beautiful home in a great location. Easy access to the pier for surf watching or grabbing something to eat. We all (7 of us) went to the restaurant for dinner and also had take out from the pizza place on a separate night. It was easy to fing good walks here with just a little research. Several of us are coffee snobs so don't use Keruig cups much...so that was a little difficult though the special reusable Keruig cup to brew regular coffee in came in handy. We ended up asking one of our family to bring along a grinder and coffee pot and all was good. We really enjoyed our family get-togehter at Mikes' in Point Arena.

We spent three days over Christmas 2023 here and couldn't have been happier. The home is spacious and has been freshly renovated and decorated. The kitchen was really well equipped and the beds and linens were hotel-quality. And when we walked in, there was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree awaiting us! There's not a lot to do in Pt. Arena (walk to the pier, hike the gorgeous bluffs, or drive to the historic lighthouse; the town is pretty dead). But if you're looking to get away from it all, the ocean view and stunning landscapes are all you'll need. We literally fell asleep to the sounds of pounding surf.
