Station 314 was fabulous for a last-minute getaway. We contacted Mike and within minutes he responded to book our stay. We were amazed by how spacious and well-appointed the house was. Every bedroom and bathroom combination was better than the previous one! The decor is eclectic and interesting with historical accents, lovely art, and fun designer touches like the mirror made of vintage cameras. All of the bedding was pristine white and very soft. I usually don't sleep well away from home, but whether it was the sound of the tide coming in or the perfect bedding, I slept great. I also really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. Other homes that we've rented through AirBnB didn't even have a coffee maker, but the Coast Guard House had everything you might need including extra coffee! Oils and spices for cooking were also available, and we really appreciated the Brita pitcher and firewood - again, little touches that make your trip easier and more relaxing. We will be back!

We loved staying at the Coast Guard House! The hosts were helpful and responsive, and the place was as described. You can't beat the location! We stayed at the house with 10 family members including two kids and we loved every minute. The house had everything we could need and was quite comfortable and clean. The tide pool exploration, oysters on the deck at the restaurant in the cove, that Point Arena vibe - all can't be beat.

If I could give this place six stars I would! I came with a group of 11 people for a new year celebration, and it accommodated all of us extremely well! Only 3 of the bathrooms have showers (the other three are tubs), but we made it work. There were ample kitchen supplies for all of us, a huge sofa that almost all of us could fit on at once--they even decorated for Christmas with a beautiful Christmas Tree <3 We all felt right at home. Thank you Mike and Franky for making our celebration so memorable and fun!

The area surrounding the Point Arena house is absolutely stunning. I loved watching the fog roll out in the mornings and the waves roll in with the sunset from the front deck. The little pier and cove were quite active and offered some very fun and unexpected entertainment during our stay. The kids thoroughly enjoyed collecting seashells during the day and making s’mores at night. This is a historic house and comes with all the charm and challenges of a old house. The host and local caretakers were very kind and responsive. Thank you for sharing this charming and historic property with us!

Mike’s house is a very unique US coast guard home. It had a very rustic appeal and a lot of naval touches like maritime books, silverware and antique machinery. Each room had it’s own bathroom access which made the place extra special. You get ocean views from windows as shown the photos. It did not have the latest and greatest appliances but that did not cause any inconvenience. We were there to enjoy the views and get a peaceful night’s sleep. The fireplace right outside is amazing to keep warm on a cold night. I even got access to an EV charger on request. As an icing to the cake we happened to visit during the July 4th fireworks display and got a brilliant view of it.
