Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight here, for the near(ish)by Wigtown book festival. The cabin was very in keeping with the tone of our weekend. A lovely arrival with informative welcome by our host, and time for a G & T in the sunshine on the deck overlooking the River Cree, with the twinkling fairylights in the background creating a lovely atmosphere. The cabin was set in a nice enclosed vegetable garden. Taxi was less than £20 to Wigtown. The bedding was so cosy, and the bottom of the three bunk spaces offered a perfect wee space for the dog to relax. We enjoyed a gorgeous waterfall scramble in the morning directly from the cabin, on a loop back through the woodlands. Would love to come back for a future retreat. Thanks for having us!

Had been on the lookout for a small place just to get a good night's sleep the day before a sporting event - this place was well above expectations! Great communication from the host in terms of check-in and check-out policies, along with clear directions. The cabin itself was in a beautiful location, away from any road noise, and also had some spectacular views. A brilliant place to stay and would not hesitate to come back!
