We needed a place to relax and refuel and this place was perfect. It was comfortable and clean. The landscaping is lovely. The hosts were responsive and friendly and provided helpful information. What a beautiful spot to unwind! We also enjoyed the nearby ferry to see the horses and the lighthouse. The only problem we had was that we did not want to leave!

I can’t even begin to say what a wonderful experience it was to rent off of Mary and Pete. The place was emasculate. Every comfort was provided and thought of. The location was nothing short of spectacular. Beautiful views and sunsets, fire Pitt, gas grill, etc. Donna and I will be sure to book this location on future trips to Harkers Island (which is special in every way) and their Charleston, Sc property was well.

We absolutely love Mary’s place! This was our second visit and we had a wonderful time. My husband loved the dock, this time catching puffer fish, a black bass, flounder, sting rays and even a spider crab. The house was very convenient for us as we were able to enjoy the entire Waterfowl Weekend with the Decoy Festival and the events at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center. Not to mention we were there to see all the Christmas lights lighting the whole area. Go if you can!

It is a slice of paradise! We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary and Mary’s airBnB was the respite we longed for. If you love birding, we saw osprey, egret, and kingfishers. If you love the large and small shrimp trawlers, a harbor is just around the corner. If you love fishing, the hubs caught keeper speckled trout from the dock. If you are undecided, don’t wait!

Mary’s place was a dream. She though of everything. Her beds were comfy, home was super clean, she provided games that our kids enjoyed. This place has the perfect view. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it. While there isn’t much on the island, we had everything we needed and only left the house once. We enjoyed family time fishing and swimming from the dock. The neighbors were super nice. It was the perfect vacation. Although we didn’t bring our boat, she has a nice lift on the dock for easy access. Mary always responded quickly. We are thankful to have found her slice of heaven on earth. We will surly be back with our boat.
