The Island House and it's location are beautiful! Every part of the house and yard look over the gorgeous sound! The house is big enough for 5 couples to have plenty of space to be together--the kitchen and dining/living area are spacious and well-equipped. There is also plenty of space to be alone--there's a nice screened in porch and a large sitting room upstairs. We loved playing cornhole and bocce in the large yard. There is easy access to the water for the kayaks. The "beach" is not really a beach, but at low tide there is a little bit of sand leading into the water. Be careful, though, lots of sharp oyster shells. Swimming off the pier was lovely, although the ladder into the water was rickety and we got a couple of scrapes going in and out. There's not a lot going on at Harker's Island, but this is a perfect house and location for cooking, eating, playing, kayaking, and hanging out together.

Absolutely perfect place to stay with Family on Harkers Island. We enjoyed lots of boating and seafood. Wonderful kitchen with everything you need to make gourmet food. Love the view of the water, lots of thoughtful amenities. Games, kayaks, rocking chairs, crab traps. Nice having the grocery so close.

What a wonderful place, as described and better. Such a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. It was very relaxing. Also, the island really has all the things you need to enjoy a long relaxing week.

Absolutely loved the Island House! It was super nice! Well stocked kitchen (best I have seen from any rental) very clean, access to lots of activities (kayaks, bikes, corn hole), nice dock and small swimming area! We can’t wait to return.
