Matt & Marcela should offer a Master Class in Airbnb hosting! Home was absolutely as described. Beautiful waterfront views. 360 degree water view. It was like God placed their home smack dab in the middle of Harkers Island. It has a beautiful naturally landscaper yard surrounded by Marsh land and the canal / Waterway in the front. Every view offered gorgeous Sunrise and Sunsets. The home decorations could be categorized under minimalist but they were perfect. The living room furniture was soft and cozy. TV was located in a perfect spot not to complete with the gorgeous 360 degree water view. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to never have to go to the store while vacationing. The dining area had a beautiful table and chairs and bench. We spent many nights playing with the board games provided. The dishes and utensils were perfect and pretty. The 3 bedrooms were clean and cozy. So comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and lacked nothing. Decks offered stunning views!!!

We had a great stay at Harker’s Hideaway. The island was beautiful and peaceful and the views from the house were terrific. We enjoyed the little touches like a baby gate that helped keep our two year old off the stairs and the helpful guide left by the owners. Only issue we had was the upstairs shower only partially worked but it was all we needed so no complaints, I'm sure the owners are handling it. Other than this, everything was great and we would definitely stay again.

The house was great. We caught several nice drum and trout off pier. Neighbors was pleasant. The only thing we had negative about our stay was the smell of the water. But I guess it’s normal that close to the water. We had a great time. Didn’t have to contact owners nine. Everything was explained on any questions we had. Awesome view.

Amazing spot! We’d never been to NC and chose this place on a whim. It was perfect. Very private, quaint, and quiet - the house was even better than the pictures! There were beach chairs and some kid beach toys which made it perfect for our 19 month old! We saw dolphins from the beach and windows every day! There is a (very) small grocery store and a couple local restaurants on the island which were handy as well. We did stop at a larger store in Beaufort for groceries on the way in, which was helpful! Beaufort, only about 20-30 min drive, also had a beautiful beachfront with a lot of good local shops and restaurants. Overall, if you’re looking for a private beach house on an island that’s calm, quiet, and stress free - this is it. Marcella and Matt were easy to communicate with and prompt to address any questions we had. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely come back!
