Upper house was a great getaway for my family of 8. We communicated that we needed child-friendly activities and the recommendations were perfect. It was close enough to restaurants and the boardwalk for the weekend getaways and nightly eats. It was surprisingly close to Nisese state park and since I’m a distinguished veteran, we got to park for free (Only $8 but every dollar counts). We hiked and were beach bums for the weekend. We got a special bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival and that was a good touch. Eating breakfast outside in the morning while hearing the chickens roost out yonder was the feeling of a farmy morning w/o the farmy smells. Birds chirping, loud kids running around the house without injury, really made the trip choc-full of peace of mind. If we visit the Santa Cruz area again, Upper House is a definite booking. We look forward to visiting again.

We loved our weekend at this home. The host was very responsive and left a welcome gift that made us feel at home. The house is located close to Santa Cruz and many beaches and hikes. Great place to stay!

We had a great stay at Robyn’s place! She was very friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the location was peaceful and close to beautiful hiking trails.

We had wonderful time at this place. It was very quiet and beautiful. The hosts were very kind and super responsive. We had everything we needed. I also had a special request which was generously granted. The beds are comfortable, the house is very specious. The kitchen is large and separate from the living room which is great. There is also an office there. The sound isolation is great. Nothing negative to say. Just positive things.
