Take it easy at this unique waterfront getaway, located in the town that invented the lobsterboat -- Jonesport, Maine! This authentic lobsterman's cottage features 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Full, 1 with 2 Twins) -- 1.5 baths, and your own private beach! Access to deep water dock and mooring (if you're arriving by boat). All creature comforts including full kitchen, separate dining room, and comfy living room with TV. Large private lawn with a firepit and amazing views of ocean. There is a large mowed lawn area equipped with a fire pit (firewood is provided at no additional charge) and chairs. Also included for your use, is a propane-fired lobster pot and a gas grill. The area is great for outdoor activities as it gives plenty of room for children to run and play in a safe area. Access to the sandy beach is easily done by walking across the mowed lawn to a set of stairs leading down to the beach and the ocean. Bring your kayaks and take a paddle along the shore, or take a walk and collect sea glass along the beach.

The cabin was exactly what we wanted for a peaceful family getaway. It had everything we needed to cook most of our own meals. The fire pit and lobster pot were nice touches and we used them both. The local lobster from the coop is inexpensive and delicious. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. We watched the sun rise over the water each morning from our bedroom window. Spectacular! Location is about 90 minutes to Acadia, and also plenty of other places to hike and explore close by. Robert proactively communicated on arrival and was always available for questions or needs. I'd highly recommend his place.

Cozy, well stocked linens and kitchen. Close to beach. We enjoyed the lobster steamer and the fire pit immensely.
Had a wonderful stay at Robert's house. It was remote and quiet (except for an early lobster boat departure). He provided everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable.
Beautiful views of the ocean and lobster boats. We enjoyed hunting for treasures on the beach. The house had all the amenities we needed for a nice stay. The only downside was there was so much goose poop in the yard we really couldn’t use it, only carefully walk through to the beach or fire pit.

Jonesport is a very small town with a very friendly atmosphere. It is a very safe and cozy town. There are very limited stores, restaurants and activities in town.
As a small town you can walk around, but mostly you will have to drive to stores, restaurants and to see the many scenic views that abound the area. Traffic and parking will never be a problem in this area.
