Relax in our freshly renovated snowdonia cottage, beautiful mountain views. Centrally located for stunning hikes, beautiful beaches and local waterfalls. With a great village pub to recharge at the end of the day it’s the perfect base for your Snowdonia adventure. Freshly renovated, our cottage has traditional features such as the stone fireplace, slate flooring and exposed copper combined with all the modern conveniences. It has two double bedrooms, sociable kitchen/diner, Separate TV lounge, full bathroom with a slipper bath and rain shower, garden to the rear with mountain views. With good fibre internet wifi is available throughout the house. - Kitchen Diner - Our kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to rustle up your favourite meal with all the pots pans and even sharp knives! Full sized Bosch oven - Neff induction hob - Dishwasher - Microwave and even a Nespresso coffee machine. With a comfy leather sofa to relax in and watch the chef its a great spot to listen to some music on the bluetooth radio and plan your adventures. - TV Lounge - Located at the back of the house with french doors opening onto the garden the lounge is a lovely light filled room, great for lying on the sofa looking at the view or reading a book. There is a 55 inch LG smart TV if you want to enjoy a movie night or catch up on the rugby (it is Wales!) - Mountain Bedroom - The mountain bedroom has a double bed with stunning views through the picture window, you can enjoy breakfast in bed surveying the Moelwyn ranges and Stylwan dam. If you get tired of the view there is a large smart tv at the end of the bed. If the cottage is booked for five guests a single mattress bed will be set up in the mountain bedroom next to the double bed. - Master Bedroom - The master bedroom has a SUPER KING bed for those of you who like to spread out! With it’s floor to ceiling curtains drawn its a perfect place to snuggle in and binge watch your favourite series. - Conservatory - To the side of the kitchen is a small bright and airy conservatory with a work bench and stools, perfect spot to grab a coffee and set up the laptop if you have a bit of work to catch up on or have a doodle in the colouring books!

Easily one of the most pleasurable airbnb stays I've had. Sam is a fantastic host, making us feel at home in the beautifully renovated cottage as soon as we arrived! The attention to detail in the cottage is superb - Sam has thought of everything, making it incredibly comfortable to stay in. A great base for exploring Snowdonia. We especially loved the fantastic mountain view from the back windows of the cottage (you can even sit back in the lovely roll-top bath and enjoy them!), the very well-equipped kitchen and powerful shower. Sam was very responsive and forthcoming with recommendations for our stay, doing everything she could to ensure our time there was memorable. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at this lovely little cottage!

Hillside Cottage is easily one of the best AirBnBs I've ever stayed in. Yes, the 5 star reviews really do it justice. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here! From the initial booking months out through the entire stay, Sam was in constant communication and provided many local recommendations as well. Now for the cottage itself: it was extremely clean, very tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. Sam left a very nice welcome gift of homemade baked goods (yum!), fresh milk, and an Elderberry sparkling drink for us. Onto the location! Was it the most convenient place? Yes I a sense that it was 30-45 minutes from most places we wanted to go (Snowdonia, Conway, Porthmadog, etc). There are also 4-5 takeaways and pubs nearby, so not bad at all. The view from the backyard was stunning, especially at sunset. My favorite part? We're here during lambing season! There are so many farms nearby that we just pulled over by the side of the road to watch the lambs!
Sam is the perfect host. Whenever we had a query she got straight back to us with the answer. The chocolate cakes and bubbly on arrival were very welcome. Every detail in the property had been carefully thought out. The handwritten welcome signs were a very special touch.

Our neighbourhood has recently been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is best known for being the historic ‘Slate capital of the World’ and an adventure hotspot for zip wires, underground mining tours and extreme mtb.
The cottage doesn't have dedicated parking but there is plenty of on street parking available. Although there is a bus service we would recommend a car to best explore the area.

My partner and I live in Snowdonia, North Wales, UK with our two children. I am a qualified Mountain Leader and Andrew is a keen kitesurfer and mountain biker and we are happy to help plan your adventures. We feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful area amidst the mountains and beaches. A good day for us is to be in the outdoors hiking or trail running! followed by a meal at one of our fantastic local cafes. Travelling is a big part of our lives and we chose to settle in North Wales after relocating from New Zealand.
