Great place to stay, the annex and location ! Clare was brilliant. Greeted us and our dog upon arrival and is a great host. The annex is spotless and everything looks and feels brand new. Highly recommend anyone to stay here, especially if you have a dog. The location is peaceful and has some great walks and views

The studio is lovely and Clare put in a lot of work to make it cozy with lovely details. Shower is amazing! We did have an awkward chat about whether construction workers could come work on the Airbnb while I was staying there which took me off guard, I was told that annoyingly they were coming but if I wasn’t out for the day she could try to cancel and postpone until my last day, which would still be disruptive since I check out at 10 not 8am. It didn’t really feel like I had a choice and I felt pressured to accept it and it led to an awkward conversation. After saying the request took me by surprise I stopped hearing from her so didnt know whether to expect workers to come on my last day or not. I booked it because it was described as peaceful and relaxing and due to personal reasons I really needed that, the looming possibility of construction workers at 8ish am and lack of communication afterwards really ruined that for me unfortunately.

My partner, our cat and myself stayed in Clare’s annex for 6 weeks as we waited on the purchase of our new house. Clare was very accommodating and helpful when I first contacted her and was unsure of dates and how long we’d need to stay for. She even offered the possibility of alternative accommodation if by the end of our stay our purchase was not complete and we couldn’t stay in the annex any longer. The annex is cosy and well presented. Underfloor heating, beautiful bathroom and lovely furnishing. The space is small but we made it work for 6 weeks with half our belongings, so definitely absolutely no problem for someone having plenty room for a long weekend stay etc. We loved the kitchen crockery etc so much we went and purchased similar and bought the exact same pots and pans! The location is beautiful, really nice walks and peaceful. I actually started saying to my partner that maybe we should have purchased a house in Newtyle 👀. 5* accomodation, 5* host.
