Sunset Ridge Cottage was amazing -- just what we needed for a relaxing, peaceful weekend. We'd stay again in a heartbeat. Jocelyn and Samantha have thought of everything, and it shows. This isn't like most AirBNBs -- it's a thoughtfully appointed home, and we felt at home there. Some highlights: the amazing kitchen (ridiculously well stocked), tasteful decor that really fits the aesthetics of the place, the two wonderful decks with comfortable furniture and really nice fire pit, and of course, the forest -- with the huge windows in the dining room and kitchen, you really feel like you're in the forest. As others have noted in the reviews, the house is private, but there are neighbors. We heard them doing some yard work, but it was never intrusive or disruptive (especially compared to our place in San Francisco). We were looking for tranquility and privacy for a big birthday. We found it and had a wonderful time. We'll be back!

In short, this Airbnb is magical. We came as three adults and one dog, and the space suited us perfectly. It rained almost the entire time of our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio and outdoor amenities as we would’ve liked. However, we enjoyed cooking meals in the very well stocked kitchen and relaxing in the living room, and having the serene trees surround us. Overall a very thoughtfully appointed Airbnb, from the decor to helpful signage and guides. It’s not as close to the town as I had thought but only a short drive away. It was our first time in the area and our stay here contributed heavily to our positive experience. If you bring a dog and plan to hike, just be aware that the area has quite a lot of ticks!
