We enjoyed staying at Leah & Willy’s property. It was great for a get together with 3 families and small kids. No tub but we made it work! Leah & Willy were very responsive when we needed to reach out. The back yard space was our favorite! We grilled 2 of 3 nights and loved the comfy chairs to catch up!

We spent a week at Captains Cottage with two families including 3 kids. The layout of Captains Cottage worked well for our sleeping needs but there was not a bath tub for the kids. We knew that in advance and brought a big tub to use in the showers, which worked well. The kids loved the backyard and propane fire in the back was a big hit to watch the sun set and worked well to be able to get it going quickly before bedtime. The kitchen could use some more items (ie glass bakeware, blender, pressure cooker/insta pot) but we managed to make due. Without use of the pier it was a bit difficult to use the kayaks but we managed to find a way. The dinning table options were great for providing options to eat inside or outside. We enjoyed walking down Millionaires Mile and were pleasantly surprised to find a playground but also that very few shops/restaurants were open M-W. Overall, we had a good trip and enjoyed the house and the ability to explore the Northern Neck!

The house was very clean and organized . Enjoyed the hot tub. Enjoyed the backyard, and the design was kid friendly. It was a restful experience.

Cute stay!! No pier access and hot tub wasn’t working, but plenty of room for all the guest and in a super cute location with close beach access.

Leah & Willy's place is charming! It's an older home but they've made some cute updates, while retaining the character of the house. There are a few oddities that I didn't notice when I booked, like no bathtub (pretty important with young kids!) and no full bath downstairs. The room downstairs also has a storm door with no covering and a glass door off of the living room that is only partially covered (and with one broken pane), so not a lot of privacy there. The kitchen could use a few more essentials but I have a feeling the hosts will work out all of these kinks in the near future, since this is very new listing. They were extremely helpful and communicative. The best part of this property was the beautiful outdoor space! The patio, hot tub, string lights, dock access and outdoor seating were fabulous! Overall, I would definitely recommend—just make sure you look thoroughly at the floor-plan and amenities to make sure it works for your group.
