The village itself dates back to the 14th century, and boasts great local pubs, two restaurants, cafes, fish and chip shops, sandwich shops, as well as a butcher, baker and greengrocer. It is surrounded by must-visit towns. There are excellent walking routes with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just 4 miles outside the village. Eyam, with its eery and fascinating history of being &ldquo;The Plague Village&rdquo; sits just 5 miles to the East of Tideswell. Chatsworth House, Mam Tor and Castleton are within 11 miles and the popular spa town of Buxton is an 8 mile trip.</p> <p>The house has a modern and stylish interior, whilst still retaining features, decor and furnishings that complement the age and style of the property.
