We booked three nights for our extended family (parent, sister, and ourselves) to stay in while visiting family in Simi Valley. We loved that the house was in a great location and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Check-in and check-out couldn't be any easier, and the host always responded to our messages almost immediately. There was enough cookware and tableware for an entire family to make a meal, and a wine cork and wine glasses were provided too. I wanted to note the house doesn't provide many extras (e.g., coffee filters, salt, pepper), but we found this to be a minor detail since there is a Von's grocery store just three minutes away. Just make sure to pick up everything you may need ahead of time if you'll be doing any cooking. Based on the location and overall value, I'm happy to recommend this property for your stay in Simi Valley.

During our family vacation, I was accompanied by two four-year-olds and a 10-year-old. However, upon arriving at our destination, we discovered weed particles and ashes in the drawers, blood on the walls, period blood on one of the beds, pee on another bed, and even a poop stain on one of the bathroom floors. The backyard wasn't as described, and there were no seasonings, oven mitts, and limited pots and pans. Although the hosts claimed it was a new build, it wasn't. Furthermore, there was a train that ran every thirty minutes to an hour until about 2 am. The floors were filthy, and it felt like all the seasoning I needed was on the floor. To make matters worse, we were not allowed to check in early due to the "cleaners." With all these issues, I couldn't help but wonder if this was really vacation we had to purchase washing detergent, liquid soap, comet, and sponges to clean eve before we could even settle in, which took until midnight a vacation. Honestly, this was the worst Airbnb.
