This is a wonderful cabin in the woods. It was perfect for a two person getaway. We loved the rustic but modern features and everything we needed was there. Would definitely stay again.

This funky, fantastic cabin is the only lodging on the mine site, so evenings are wonderfully isolated and quiet, and daytime activities are literally just outside the door. The space itself is a brilliant mix of industrial cleverness and whimsy. The lofted bed and stairs are an obvious centerpiece, but the back deck is a lovely place to spend an evening watching the wildlife. The trail system on site is great for exploring, and even better if you're a capable mountain biker. It's the staff, however, that make this place a destination: our guides were friendly, flexible, and insightful, and our weekend getaway felt like visiting friends--friends who happen to have access to an amazing old copper mine, but friends, still. If what you want to do is spend a weekend knocking around the remains of a 19th-century mineral extraction enterprise, in the company of fun people, while surrounded by park-like natural scenery, this is a perfect place to do it.

Stayed for 2 nights- really enjoyed the solitude and peace of the woods. You feel like you're in a tree house! Didn't end up exploring the mine because we had hot sunny weather and chose to hit the beach instead. Matt was very thoughtful and left some geodes for my daughter to break open -she really enjoyed that! We also got very lucky with an aurora borealis show during our last night. There's a few trails right out the front door and the nearby outdoor options are endless. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The cabin has all basics covered and was very clean. As a Tesla owner, I really appreciate the EV charger this place has- it opens up travel to the western UP. Will definitely be back!

We arrived at the Adventure Mine to a friendly greeting from Jen and Shawn. This place is sweet; simple and complete. Located on one of the hiking trails and a one minute walk to the Adventure Mine office. We experienced the Captain's tour with Rob and Shawn as our guides; both did an excellent job of keeping us informed and safe. Our down time was spent hiking the trails, playing cards and enjoying the cabin. We ate all our meals in the cabin, the kitchen is well equipped with all the kitchen utensils and a propane grill. Thank you Matt for sharing your copper mine and cabin with us. Ken and Carol
