What an AMAZING place! Host was exceptional! The house was perfect! The yard was so beautiful! It was peaceful! And the fact that the dogs were allowed, made it even better! The beds were very comfortable. There was enough stuff for us to cook as well, which was really nice! Also lots of information about things to see and do while we were there! We had a great stay and would love to stay again someday!

The suite is perfectly cozy with all the amenities. the location is so peaceful. We had amazing sleeps. Highly recommend. We will return.

Loved this place! Amazing house and yard for the family over the holidays. We had our family Christmas here and couldn’t be happier that we did. Very private, with hot tub and nice fenced area for the dogs, the fireplace gave a great cabin feel. Ian was great and available to show us around the property and show us how everything worked. Would definitely book again!

Ian and Li exemplify being Canadian “good neighbours.” They were at their home on the hill just above the guest suite maybe half the time, but they were always responsive and helpful, accommodating and flexible. We arrived in early sept and stayed two months and wish we had been there for summer, but even so it was a special treat to relax on the deck, sit in the hot tub and listen to the horses whinny from across the street. So peaceful, so lovely—and rural Saanich is a PERFECT spot. 10 minutes north to Butchart Gardens (also don’t miss the butterfly museum!) and another 10 to Sidney and the ferries, 25 minutes the other way to Victoria Harbour. You feel out of the way, but still close to shops and restaurants. Recommend 5/5!

Top notch host! Ian and Li made us feel very welcomed for our long stay. So much so we booked them again! They’re typically on property but up the hill at their own building, very responsive but also will leave you to yourselves. The hot tub on the back deck overlooking the trees, with the horses neighing at the farm across the street, or staring up at the stars at night, is heavenly. The area is perfect: out of the way and very peaceful, but only about 10min north or south to shops and eateries. So close to Butchart Gardens! Saanich may be the best area in the best part of the island, the best part of BC. And your hosts will make it special.
