Amazing house, great location, within walking distance of Woolacombe beach, perfect for families. We Celebrated a 60th birthday at Granfers, including 3 generations, it was an ideal place to stay as it was large and comfortable enough for everyone, we’ve come away with amazing memories. Peter the host was very helpful, and quick to respond to any questions.

Stayed at Peter's lovely house for Christmas. The house is wonderful for a holiday, with amazing views of the sea and surrounding hills. The house was warm, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, with bathrooms for each of the 4 bedrooms which was great. Even a Christmas tree in the lounge to greet us. The kitchen had everything the whole family could possibly want, and we were a family of 6 adults and 3 children, plus 2 dogs. Thank you Peter for a lovely stay.

We had a fabulous long weekend with extended family (+ dog) at Granfers. The views from the deck are stunning and there are some amazing walks from the doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming and surfing at nearby Croyde and Saunton Sands (the little pink shop at Croyde is excellent for surf board hire and advice for beginners) and then coming back to a beer on the deck and lounging on the very comfortable outdoor furniture. When the weather turned there was lots of space inside the house for board games and baking scones in the surpisingly well equipped kitchen. The children also loved hunting for cowrie shells on Barricane beach which we were told come from the Caribbean and wash up only on this tiny stretch of coast. We loved our time at Granfers and hope to come back again soon.
