Lovely place to spend a peaceful time. Very quiet and secluded in a small and peaceful town. Pool is pleasant and rooftop is great for star gazing! Don Bicho, the person who is actually in town, is very helpful and friendly; always available. The Airbnb hosts were super responsive and extremely helpful in fixong the internet, which was down a few hours due to problems outside their control, but always in communication and doing everything they could! Thanks!! :-) The property could use some upgrading because the furniture is very old and dusty and the property has the bare minimum to get by. Don't expect any cooking basics (no oil, no coffee or tea, no napkins, no sugar). Just drinking water and some basic utensils. Bring your own pillow. Towels are clean but old. Overal, a bit much on the rustic side for me. Having said that, I'd return because of the price.

Gran sitio para desconectarse de la ciudad, con un pintoresco jardín y una alberca muy cómoda de buen tamaño. La estancia es preciosa, muchísimo arte acompaña los rincones del alojamiento además de una buena cantidad de libros muy interesantes acerca de la comunidad de Ake y su gente. Maravillosa experiencia que recomiendo altamente para buscar paz. Muchas gracias por su maravillosa hospitalidad.

Es ist etwas besonderes in einem so urspünglichem Ort ohne andere Touristen zu sein. So viele Tiergeräusche in der Nacht, die Sterne und die Schwingung der Ruinen. Vermutlich spricht niemand im Ort Englisch und die Begegnungen mit den Dorfbewohnern haben einen eigenen Charme, der mit Einzug des Tourismus oft verloren geht. Der Standard des Hauses ist trotz der modernen Bauweise irgendwie an das Dorf angepasst.

Pasamos un año nuevo excelente en Aké: tranquilos y a gusto. La casa es grande, tiene la básico para cocinar, una tiendita cerca que acepta tarjeta y atractivos como la Hacienda Henequenera y las ruinas de Aké. Bien ubicado: cerca de Merida, de Izamal y de la autopista a Cancun.
