A quiet retreat away from the hustle & bustle, with still plenty to enjoy, including a communal pool, shops, cafes, bars & restaurants, & Scratby’s beautiful beach, all a stone’s throw from your doorstep. A short bus ride away takes you to the vibrant town of Great Yarmouth. There you can enjoy many of the fine restaurants, bars & cafes. The town also boasts a collection of fantastic funfairs, including Pleasure Beach, the newly refurbed Marina Leisure Centre, the Hippodrome, & so much more. Guests are greeted by a large, cosy living room space, complete with TV, dining table to seat 4 (an additional high chair is available), and a vintage-but-powerful electric fire for the cooler months. Kitchen is just off the main living room, and includes microwave, kettle, toaster, and vintage-but-powerful fridge and cooker. Marrakesh style dinnerware, and standard glassware included. There is also a smoke and CO2 detector, a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, and first aid kit. Guests can also find an ironing board, iron, cleaning supplies, lap trays, board games, and beach gear in the large storage cupboard. There are two bedrooms at the property, both have comfortable double beds- One room has a double bed, and the second bedroom has a bunk bed, with a double bed below, and a single bed above. All beds come undressed. Undressed Duvets , pillows and blankets are included. Bed linen and towels can be provided at an extra cost. Laundry is collected and laundered at departure, please ask upon booking. We also can provide a travel cot set up, and ready for an additional £10. This comes without linen, but can be added for an additional cost of £5, (when linen package is added) and will be freshly laundered on the day, ready for your arrival. Bathroom includes small vanity sink, toilet, and electric shower. There is a small patio area outside the property, and access to a big, communal green space. There are communal washing lines, but the property also has a clothes horse, if you prefer. Pegs are also available in the cupboard. The site also has a set of swings, an outdoor pool, and fronted by restaurants, supermarket, hairdressers, laundrette, fish and chip shop, and toy/gift shops. The site opposite has an indoor pool, arcades, parks, pizzeria, shop, chip shop, and a family function room/bar available to use, just sign in on entry. (Outdoor pool, and Family function room have a small, and very reasonable entrance fee for guests staying elsewhere). Free parking is available on site. There are no steps, or steep inclines between the car park and property, making access easier. The property does require stepping over the threshold of the door, but once inside, all rooms are on the same level. The Outdoor pool is open May-September, between 10-4pm. There is a manned desk, a large patio area for spectators, and the pool is large in size. There is a large shallow end for little swimmers. A clear barrier between shallow and deep ends makes for ease in choosing where to swim. The site offers a small set of swings to entertain the little ones, but if you would like more; there are a few hidden children’s play areas are located on an adjacent site, a short walk away. Scratby beach is a beautiful, sandy, dog friendly beach. Accessed via a slope and some steps. There are public toilets at the beginning of the slope, and some car parking space, although this beach is a stone’s throw from the Chalet. The walk there includes passing some gift shops, mini supermarket, bars, cafes, hairdressers, and chip shop. Just up the road from the beach entrance you can find arcades, a take away, a tavern, the oasis swimming pool, pit stop pizza, and Dutches Tavern with evening entertainment. Great Yarmouth is a short, open top bus ride away, running frequently to and from Great Yarmouth, at a very reasonable price, please message for up to date prices and times. Bus ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes Great Yarmouth boasts plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, & a cinema. You will also find fun at Pleasure Beach, The Hippodrome, the newly refurbished Marina Leisure Centre, Bingo, Amusement Parks, Seaworld, The Pier, the waterways, & the beach, & more! And when you have had your fill of all the days adventures, the chalet can offer you a quiet, cosy spot to rest your head.
