Beautiful Cabin.

Avishay's home is lovely, with a beautiful forest setting. The glassed in porch is particularly delightful. The kitchen is generally well appointed and a pleasant space for gathering. When issues arose with the home they were attended to and the communication was excellent. The walk down to the lakeside was down several flights of steps which could be limiting for those with mobility issues. Overall a great location to enjoy feeling like a camper again from the comfort of home, and a beautiful waterfront for swimming or boating. Very close to the public boat launch for Lake Buel also. Not ideal for remote work due to camp related noise (music throughout the day), but this always finished by 10pm. Overall, a wonderful stay with my family while our kids attended camp!

Our family of four had a wonderful vacation at Avishay's place. As I believe we are the first renters, we'll share a few details that should help future guests. First: the location is lovely. A short walk to the lakefront which includes a small sandy beach and a dock. (FYI: access to the lakefront is down a long, steep flight of stairs, so if anyone in your party has mobility issues, just be aware of this.) The home a short drive from many Berkshires cultural attractions good grocery shopping and restaurants. Just magical! I'll share a few caveats to help future renters. First, the house is right next door to a summer camp. The camp plays very loud amplified music and camp cheers throughout the day (~8am-10pm), so if that does not suit you, be aware. Second, the house does have bedrooms in the basement, but like many basements it has a musty odor. I would not have felt comfortable having guests sleep down there. However, our family of four was very comfortable in the upstairs rooms.
