This house is spectacular in the fact the owners did a phenomenal job restoring its beauty and historical features. If you’re into haunted houses, this is the place for you. From the minute we entered, there was an undeniable amount of very heavy energy. When we walked upstairs, our 4 year old said “don’t worry mommy, they’re friendly”, I responded with, “who’s friendly” and he replied, “the people”. Thursday morning while making our bed the brush situated on the vanity flew off and landed feet away as if smacked with force. Friday morning my son and I woke to what felt like someone gently shaking the bed until we got out. My mother and daughter slept in the downstairs bedroom which left the upstairs bathroom unoccupied and she heard loud footsteps all night. This isn’t our first experience with spirits and the energy of this home was not welcoming to our family, they most definitely wanted us out. We left two days early, could not stay another night.

Beautiful historic farmhouse in extremely peaceful surroundings but just a quick drive to downtown Bardstown and all the attractions. Thank you for sharing your family’s charming home. Loved the original interior exposed wood walls. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. There were snacks, coffee and tea waiting for us upon arrival. The two separate sitting areas areas (family rooms) worked out great. Bedrooms are fabulous with antiques and historical items. Beds are very very comfortable. We spent both of our nights relaxing and talking around the fire pit under the back covered patio. We used it so much that the propane tank went empty the second night. I sent a message asking if there was a spare tank somewhere. One of the family members arrived within 10 minutes and set us up with a new tank. Thanks so much, you all went above and beyond for us! We did not want to leave the Hutch but we will definitely be returning. You helped us create some great family memories. Thank You!!

This was such a perfect, homey farmhouse in an absolutely idyllic location. One of - if not the - best appointed Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at. The house had everything we could want; snacks, water, coffee etc etc We used this location as ground zero for our bourbon tasting adventure and could not have been more pleased. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend.

this place was absolutely beautiful. from the surroundings, the drive down the little country lane right before getting there, to the beautiful farm house. close to town with plenty of things to-do, see and eat. Catherine the host was an amazing person very understanding, kind and joyful. it was a pleasure to chat with her during our stay. she made us feel right at home as we are from Michigan on a work trip which was not as enjoyable. so when we got to the house every night the relaxed surroundings while sitting around the fire on the fantastic patio. if I ever get back to Kentucky Catherine's place is the only place I would want to stay. thank you again Catherine you were a life saver for us at DHK Contacting.

The Hutch was a beautiful and peaceful location for a weekend getaway for my brothers, our wives, and myself. You can tell the pride the family has taken in restoring this incredible family home. They kept the character of the original log cabin while adding modern comforts and amenities. It’s situated on a family farm minutes from Willets, Heaven Hill, and Bardstown with Makers just down the road. I cannot recommend it enough for trip on the Bourbon Trail or just to spend a peaceful weekend watching the sunset on the front porch and rise the next morning over the lake.
