Unlike the center of Florence, San Jacopino area is cheaper and very well served by commercial activities.
The first quarter started out as popular neighborhood grows up to become one of the most served residential areas of Florence. Ideal for its location adjacent to the Florence historic districts allows you to be in the city center in less than 10 minutes. The frequent and efficient public services make it unnecessary to use the machine.
The nearby Piazza San Jacopino (3-minute walk, approximately 300m) also represents a strategic point for those who want to buy something to eat, have breakfast or for those looking for a typical restaurant.

In the neighborhood there are 3 bars, 1 restaurant-pizzeria, several grocery stores (butcher, greengrocer, bakery, pastry), a small supermarket and various other service shops and a wine bar.
In short, the classic Italian square, rather small, livable and full of services within walking distance from the apartment.
In the same square there is also the bus stop 22 and 23, which both lead to the Santa Maria Novella station in a few minutes: the buses are frequent (every 10 minutes or so, active from 6 am to 00:30) and it only cost 1.50 € for 90 minutes.
Santa Maria Novella station and the historical center can be reached by walking in 15/20 minuti (recommended)
Belfiore tram stop at 300m, connects you with the center (Unità) and the airport.
For who comes with the car: like everywhere in Florence there are parks with withe lines and parks with blu lines. Parks with White lines are only for residents, parks with blu lines are free of charge only from 20:00 to 8:00 and Sunday. If you don't need the car during your stay in Florence, you can leave the car for free at Cascine Park (20/30 minutes walking).
