Enjoying the outdoors within walking distance:
- Conway Park is across the street with a playground.
- Washington Park is a block away, this is a quiet, nice neighborhood park.
- Cascadilla Gorge Hike is about 10 minutes away and well worth it, it's the most beautiful gorge walk which takes you up to Cornell University & Collegetown. The entry to the hike is found on Linn St x Court St.
- The Waterfront Trail is on the other side of the train tracks, past Greenstar. This gives you access to miles and miles of hiking that takes you to the Ithaca's famous Farmer's Market as well as Stewart Park, Cass Park, and the Black Diamond Trail.
Walkable and recommended:
- Purity Ice Cream. It can get busy so plan to take a leisurely walk and spend some quality time with you & yours.
- Greenstar Coop (grocery store). This is just past Purity, along Cascadilla St, a high quality grocery store especially for local and organic options. Coffee and prepared food available on premises.
- Aldi Supermarket also close provides high quality, seasonal products and offers great discounts - this is a very cost-sensitive option for groceries (lots of great european chocolate options too!)
- Gimme Coffee. 2 locations are both convenient, on State St and Cayuga St. - great option for coffee and pastry lovers.
