This little apartment was 1.5 miles from the airport, which is walkable for us & why we chose it. A taxi & the host shuttle quote was around £40!! & the bus doesn’t seem to actually go TO the airport. (But a bus does go FROM the airport to the top of the apartments’ street until about 8pm.) It is designed for a one night stay but the cost of getting to the airport, if you’re not prepared to walk, negates the positive of being close.

If you need a bed close to the airport then this is a reasonably priced cosy little room with its own bathroom. It is well presented but could have done with better blinds/curtains that would have kept the light out in the morning. Also, I realise that the listing doesn't advertise kitchen facilities, but there wasn't even the possibility to make a hot drink and considering the limited offerings for food and beverages locally, this would have been welcome.

If literally all you need is a bed and a shower the night before an early LHR flight then this works at a decent price.
