Come pitch your tent at any one of our 80+ campsites. All sites are primitive and you can choose any unoccupied site when you arrive. There is a bath house on the property with sinks, toilets, and showers (with hot water!), but the water is not potable. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am. The neighbor's dogs roam the property and are very loving and friendly. We have no control over them and they usually visit everyone at the campground. The bath house is shared with everyone staying on the property. Do not leave personal belongings in the bath house between uses. All personal belongings left in the bath house will be thrown away. Most camp sites have a fire pit, but if you choose a site without one you will need to build your own. You are responsible for your fire and must extinguish it before leaving the property.
Really laid back campsite with plenty of space and close to the city. Thomas was super kind and accommodating! Has bathrooms with showers and free firewood. I would just suggest bringing earplugs and trying to get a campsite as far from the railroad tracks as you can. The train definitely runs all night and you’ll hear the horn for sure. If you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. Just come prepared and you’ll have a great stay!
Perfect stay for a Weekend Winter camp in the mountains near Chattanooga. Exactly what I was looking for! Complements on location - a very remote private place, but super easy access. Thomas has the luxury camp amenities to expect on primitive sites - hot water in the bathhouse, firewood, fire pits, and nature. LOVED this destination
Knowing about the trains I would definitely bring ear plugs for better sleep. I will probably return again! Free dry firewood was an amazing feature!
Great hidden spot in the mountains. Very convenient to downtown Chattanooga. Will definitely be staying here again soon.
I enjoyed my stay here. The location is really easy to find. I showed up after dark and it was a little difficult to find my way once I was through the gate, but I found a spot in ~10 minutes so not a big issue, but getting there before the sun goes down makes this easier. I enjoyed being able to take a shower after spending all day on the mountain bike. I rode Raccoon Mountain and this is a great place to stay after that ride! The train did come by several times, but didn’t wake me up. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I’ll stay here again the next time I need to camp outside Chattanooga.
