I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Vincent's property. Located in a great area, just a short drive to a bunch of cute walkable towns with plenty to do! It's only about 50 min to Portland for a day trip as well. The property itself was very cozy, home-y, and EXTREMELY clean. Vincent left an adorable basket of goodies along with things like tea, coffee, waters, and wine. We felt right at home. The area was quiet. Unfortunately it rained a lot of my stay, but there is a fire pit with wood provided as well which is a nice perk that I wish I could have taken advantage of. Vincent respected our privacy. Checking in was super easy, and he was very accommodating. We arrived much later than we intended and he was responsive and also flexible with our timing. The property has everything you would need for a great little getaway! I'd love to come again in the future!
Charming spot. Would love to visit in spring/summer when the gardens are in bloom. Very close to the Village and all points of interest. Highly recommend!
Vincent's apartment was perfect for what we needed. it was clean, well decorated, and had all the little touches that make a place feel like home.
We are located on Birch Point Rd which adjoins a wooded area at the top of a ravine. No neighbors on either side affords a degree of privacy. We are a 4-5 minute drive into town. There you'll find 'Treats' for fresh baked breads and pastries...'Jodie's' for a down home, darn good breakfast...'Red's' and 'Spragues' by the waterfront for the absolute best lobster rolls. There’s a Wine Bar, Oyster Bar & numerous gift and antique shops, Waterstreet Restaurant with terrific views of the Sheepscot River along with great food & lounge/bar. Just across the bridge in Edgecomb is Water's Edge restaurant. And don't miss The Back River Bistro on Gardner Road or Montsweag Restaurant for great food (fish & chips are some of the best) with live music during the week (check their schedule) and a lovely dining patio. Shaw's, a full-sized grocery store is on Rte 1, just a couple minute drive from 224 Birch Point Road. You’ll find a variety of antique shops and pottery shops along Rte 1 between Wiscasset and either Bath to the S or Damariscotta to the N. Historical buff?… check out Castle Tucker or the Old Jail House( tours offered). There’s also a ‘Sunken Garden’ in town.
Short 4-5 minute drive into town. There is parking on side streets & lots behind some stores. There are also a few public parking lots (holds about 10 cars) on side streets(Water Street). The town is certainly walkable .
