Welcome to Kirkgate. Our home is a grade 2 listed, 1750 ish built townhouse in the older part of Cockermouth. I’ve been slowly renovating it for the past 4 years……”shabby chic” was born in this house during that time. The beam in the dining room is probably from a dismantled sailing ship from the West coast ports and the windows are wooden sash. Dogs are very welcome. The house is very peaceful and quiet and has a very calm atmosphere. The best pub in Cockermouth is next door. The entrance hall leads to the stairs and dining room, passing the front room. There’s a wood burner and a tv in the light front room. The dining room also has a wood burner and a desk by the window with monitor plus hdmi cable. The kitchen is found through the dining room. The stairs have a little skylight and lead firstly to the front bedroom, with 2 single beds, then the bathroom at the far end of the hall and finally the peaceful back bedroom with king size bed.
