Beautiful property in a gorgeous part of the Lakes. 5-10 mins walk to all pubs, restaurants and shops. Plenty of walks on your doorstep and many more lake and mountain walks within 10/15 mins drive. Keswick 20 mins away. Grasmere and hour. But there is so much to do close by you don’t even need to go there. 2 parking spaces is a bonus. The property is warm and relaxing. Very quiet at night time. We would stay again and recommend.

We have just come home from a 3 night stay at Scholars Cottage. It was easy to find with the address given, and having 2 parking spaces was great! The place itself is lovely and looked just like the photos, everything was very clean! It was just a short walk into cockermouth centre and there were plenty of restaurants/bars. Laura's guidebook and local recommendations were great. We opted to add the spa passes on our second day which is a lovely setting and very peaceful. It never stopped raining on our trip but you never can predict the British weather and we had a lovely time! We went to Bassenthwaite lake station for lunch one day which is set in an old train which was something different! (food was nice but large could probably share a meal between 2 for lunch). The lakes is a beautiful part of the country and we enjoyed our stay. Laura was very helpful and fast at responding to messages. We would recommend staying here. Thank you for a great stay!
