I had a wonderful weekend here, it was a great base for exploring and a comfortable way to relax. Hosts were extremely friendly and kind, lovely to meet them!

We had an amazing time at Linda and Jays place. From the moment we got there we felt right at home and comfortable. We were celebrating our 13th anniversary and they had some special little things waiting for us. The cottage is so cozy and has everything you would need..the grounds around the home are beautiful and quiet. Only about an hour to Acadia and bar harbor. Can’t wait to visit again :)

My stay at Linda and Jay’s Birch Cottage was magical. From their warm greeting, I felt immediately at home. The cottage is beautiful, the garden is a work of art, and I loved finding those special touches of whimsy that Linda and Jay brought to the cottage. Their generosity in sharing special places to visit, eat and shop was wonderful. Hospitality done well is from the heart and both Jay and Linda have big and generous hearts. I hope to stay at the cottage again, it was such a special visit. Thank you Linda and Jay, xoxo

If I could give more then 5 stars I would….I knew within minutes of arriving that I’d want to stay longer than I booked. Linda and her husband were so warm and inviting I wanted to hug them both immediately. The cottage was exactly as it appeared on the website, but now you had the atmosphere to go along with the pictures. Everything inside is thoughtfully laid out for their guests. The bed is comfortable. The sofa chairs overlook the picturesque view of the water. The bathroom is spacious. The property itself is beyond beautiful and so well maintained. Coffee in the Adirondack chairs in the morning is perfect. I came to get peace and tranquility is what I got. I will definitely return.

Linda and Jay are lovely human beings, kind and thoughtful. Special, thoughtful touches, well stocked beverages, home baked cookies, snacks and home made preserves. i immediately felt welcomed. Comfortable bed, top notch pillows and linens, just perfect. Lovely gardens to sit and read, besutiful view! Perfect location to attend a wedding at hersey retreat, easy access to Belfast and Bucksport and water, water in every direction. A 10 plus rating without a doubt!
