This house is a chill, surfer's bungalow, great for relaxing with a nice view of the ocean. It was clean and comfortable for a group of 4. The common area is spacious, and the open kitchen with an ocean view makes cooking and washing dishes an enjoyable activity. We traveled with a small child and found the place was safe and kid-friendly. The kitchen had all the tools needed to make and share a meal. The outdoor area in front could use a bit extra attention, but the inside was clean and in good condition. Please note that the bedroom overlooking the ocean does not have a closet or drawers. The second room has ample of storage space. One final consideration, the street grid is not continuous in La Playa so if you are on foot, you will need to backtrack a couple of blocks to reach a beach that is safe to swim in. Overall, I had a great stay here and recommend it as a value option with character and local charm.

Our family was thrilled with our stay! The home is centrally located with incredible views and everything is within walking distance. Will love staying there in the future.

We found this home newly listed and the owners were super responsive and flexible with timing of check in and check out, and they had couch bed made up for our son. Just a couple houses down from a path to a beautiful walking beach (not good for swimming due to powerful waves and undertow) and within a few blocks of a handful of restaurants. Car needed to access other beaches or to go into San Jose del Pedro, but it’s only a 10 minute drive to town. We watched whales breaching from the front patio and it was very peaceful during the day. Nearby music late some nights, maybe from neighbors, cars or nearby hotel, but fan in the bedroom muffled the sound and we slept just fine. Very accommodating hosts!!
