We spent 4 nights at Ugly Ducking Cottage and had a fantastic stay. The cottage was immaculate and spotlessly clean. It was extremely well equipped The bed was really comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Anne our host was lovely and very approachable she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and gave us good tips on what was going on in the village during our stay. Would highly recommend staying at Ugly Duckling Cottage and hope to return soon.

Great little hideaway perfect location for the southern part of the lakes and coast. All very clean and fully equipped.

We stayed for a week, the cottage was lovely and warm. Good location; pubs and dog walks from the door! Well equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels and blankets! However the road noise can be quite loud at night, but didn’t detract from the great stay. The weather wasn’t kind, but we still enjoyed our holiday!

We had a lovely stay at The Ugly Duckling Cottage. We arrived in the dark and it was easy to find and there was plenty of on-street parking. The cottage is cozy and we would recommend staying here and would definitely return! With the heating on in the morning and evening it was warm. The living room is very cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked a lot and had everything that we needed (there was salt, pepper, oil, washing up liquid and kitchen utensils). The cottage is close to 2 pubs, a bakery, butchers and little shop and near some great walks.
