Rawfold is a stunning, detached, 4-bed, fully renovated farmhouse in the idyllic Duddon Valley, a quiet area in the south-west corner of the Lake District National Park. The house has a spacious lounge and a large, bright kitchen with panoramic sunroom. Outside is a private patio area with amazing views across the valley - perfect for sundowners.

A beautiful place, gorgeous surroundings. Easy to find, only a short drive to picturesque Broughton in Furness. The house was very comfortable with all the amenities we required. Kitchen is fantastic, showers are excellent. Utility room to hang the walking gear or wash and dry clothes if needed. Wi-Fi is fast with a smart TV The views of the Duddon Valley were fantastic, new lambs in the adjacent field, barn owl hunting in the gardens, buzzards over the hills. Walking in the area is excellent and we did drives to Muncaster Castle for crossbows, falcons and history, Lakeland Motor Museum, Keswick, Bowness, Barrow and Ulverston Rawfold provides a relaxing base for a holiday in the South West Lakes, the Duddon Valley is a hidden gem, peaceful, lovely and just off the main tourist drag. A drive up the valley to the Newfield Inn for good food and ale. Up Hardknot Pass you will find an ancient Roman fort. The hosts are fantastic, helpful and accommodating. Rawfold is situated in the beautiful Duddon Valley. It's on it's own site, with uninterrupted views.
Nearby a barn is being converted. Building work should cause minimal disruption and noise. There is also a friendly dog on site, but she can be a little barky.
Plenty of parking on site, but a car is essential. The local village of Broughton-in-Furness is 1.5miles away where you can find pubs, cafes, bakers, butchers, grocers, post office.

I daydream of one day owning a pair of Louboutin’s and having somewhere fabulous to wear them. Until then, you can find plodding up a mountain in my trusty hiking boots, or sitting around writing a book. VITAL INFO… 28, wife (of 10 years), mother (to a small girl, a very lazy cat and a Kune Kune pig). Continually renovating one house or another. Lies about age (a lot). Likes: Salt & Vinegar crisps, Prosecco, horses, cat videos on You Tube, making light fittings out of jars, going to the hairdressers, random acts of kindness. Dislikes: Bullies, offal, pernod, choosing window fastenings, Christmas pudding. We're total villa people when we go on holiday, and I know what I like - I aim to deliver that same service to you.
