Doug and Kim's house was a great find during our travels. It is an island of peace in an otherwise fast-paced nexus of travelers and tourists to the valley and surrounding mountains.

We stayed with Kim and Doug for a night while traveling on blue ridge parkway. They were both super kind and helpful giving us recommendations for places to visit on our trip and helping us bring our items into the house. The room kitchen and bathroom were all super cozy and clean. Would definitely recommend staying if in the area!

This was a wonderful stay, and a wonderful location. I was there for a Thursday night Virginia Tech football game. The location is close to the campus, but it is also just a mile off of Route 81 - which is awesome for easy access when arriving and departing. I was there on a wonderful late October day. The view from every window was a blanket of color. Although the house is close to everything, it was a very peaceful and private surrounding. Doug and Kim were wonderful hosts. It is obvious they take pride in their home and enjoy having guests around.
