We spent two nights and felt very relaxed in the house, the town and nearby countryside. The terrace was very nice to sit out on and local people were very friendly. The location is good with a lake, the mountains and the sea in easy reach. Our host was very helpful and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. There were nice touches such as biscuits and refreshments in the fridge. Our dog had a happy stay too. Paul, Jo and Maska

Great house in a quaint, peaceful and properly Greek village - away from tourists. Lovely balcony and exceptionally welcoming people in Apolakkia, from the neighbours, shop keeper and restaurants/gas station. Beautiful quiet beaches a short drive away (5 mins) and a well equipped kitchen. Maria and Napoleon were super helpful and caring. Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely home - even nicer than the pictures. Felt very modern yet homey and had everything that you would need. Very well equiped. Wish we could of stayed longer ! Also very helpful and friendly hosts. Value for money. Thank you ! 😊

I had such a good time In Apolakkia. Great location for a quiet holiday between locals. Little shop nearby, several restaurants. We have been visiting many places around with beautiful sights, beaches. The owner was so helpful and spoiled us with local products :)) If you want to find the place (because there are no street names, no numbers, just ask for the house of Napoleon on the market place. Everybody knows him. It is at the end of a small street between a restaurant and the shop. By the way, this restaurant is the best of all the resto's on the place. Very friendly people. The house is small and cosy. The balcony is a plus. In the morning you can breakfast there in the coolness a the shade with a little breeze. An airco is welcome when the temperatures are rising high. I was really happy to have choosen that place for my holiday with my daughter.

We had a wonderful time in Maria’s place. The house is built as an old stone house, however it’s brand new and stylishly furnished. The host, Maria and his father, Napoleon welcomed us at the airport with refreshments and gave us clear instructions how to get to Apolakkia which was about 1h15 minutes drive to get there. The house is just like on the pictures inside and outside. Napoleon had briefly visited us just to bring fresh fruits (watermelon, melon, grapes and citrus) as gifts during our stay. He also gave us presents, like bottles of olive oil from his own garden. There was a wildfire on the island, fortunately the village and the house was safe. This is a perfect place to stay if you like to be in a peaceful, quiet environment where you can meet local people, taste local dishes. But it doesn’t mean that you’re abandoned there. You can go to local beaches both on the west, east or south sides of the island. Everything is within reachable distance by car, even the capital city.
